The ragdoll is a very special breed.With their strong bones and muscular body, these animals are the most friendly giants of the world of cats. The most remarkable of the ragdoll is his quiet and gentle nature and we must not forget that he has an enormous trust in people. Ragdolls are social animals and are not easily impressed of something. The nature of the ragdoll is so sweat that even a stranger can take him if you let him out alone. But luckily ragdolls feel very happy inside the house.Ragdolls are able to adjust easily to their environment. They love people and are devoted to their boss. The ragdoll is very curious and that's the reason why they are always in your neighbourhood. Loneliness is something they really hate. The half-lang fur doesn't incline to get entangled, so it doesn't need much care. It is sufficient to brush or to comb once a week. However in the rack period it is recommended to brush or to comb daily in order to prevent the fur becomes entangled and also to prevent that the cat licks the dead hair and that hair balls could bothering her. They are muscular, and the rope of the back is going down, the hind legs are higher then the forelegs. The tail is very hairy. The medium-sized head has the form of a wig with big blue oval eyes, and they have a firm chin and well-developed cheeks. The strong legs are medium-sized with round feets. At birth, the colour of the ragdolls is white, but after 2 weeks the colour of the ears, legs, head and tails changes. A couple of weeks later, the variety will become clear. It can take 3 years before the ragdoll is completely developed and coloured. Tomcats weigh 6 to 8 kilogram and the female cats are 1 to 2 kilograms lighter. The different colours are blue, seal, lilac, chocolate, flame, red and cream. The different varieties are colour point, mitted, bi colour and until recently also tortie and tabby.
